Sarah has just tweeted that she has been selected for England.
No news on the rest of English team or the other home nations yet. |

Oh AWESOME. I totally forgot about this. Wonder if that's for singles and doubles or just doubles... and who will partner her? OOOOOOOH!

I think its up to 4 singles players and 2 doubles teams per nation per event.
I would expect Sarah to play with Anne?
Hopefully Nik is getting the call to team with Bally. |

Oh cool, thanks Peter you are a wise man.
Stosur isn't playing, Aussie team is Molik, Rodionova, Ferguson and Groth.
Presume South Africa will send Scheepers (although she doesn't play fed cup) and Grandin, and Canada have Wozniak, Tetrault and Fichman.
Could be a fun event, there aren't any top 'Commonwealth' players really who would be skipping this for Beijing, other than Stosur.
Wonder if its a 32, 48 or 64 draw. Anyone know?

| The tennis is bound to get plenty of crowds in as Paes and Mirza are almost like megastars in India. |

Is that a response to her latest tweet? I'm a bit afraid that I might be reading too much into it. (Actually, the most jarring thing is where it's from: "North Sea".) |

| This is an event we should be sending our juniors to. Like Emma Devine and Jo Henderson for Scotland And Laura and the Rens for England. |

Congrats to Joss, but if that is what Nik was more than peeved about, I could understand it. |
