I'd like to be able to say that I'm late logging on today because I managed to get across for the Wrexham final, but I can't ; family birthdays, huh?
Steven has Heather as world #220 and GB #5 (just in front of Laura now) when the 50 points go on. Excellent that no sooner has her $10k win dropped off (although she couldn't defend it even if she'd wanted to, Frinton having been turned into a mens event: LTA news please note ) she's got a $25k title to replace it
That's a really impressive scoreline against a player in the 130's WR wise.
Heather appears to be evolving nicely and it's great she is giving Laura a run for her money up the rankings.
It appears we have two genuine contenders for Top 100 rankings to add to the old guard much sooner than anticipated.
I wonder what Team Heather;s game plan will be? Mel worked very hard in being a 25k bully to make it to WR99 but sadly when that got her into the big tournaments she has suffered quite a reverse
How will Heather play it
As a juinior winner surely the team should be thinking big like LAura's and giving her a good mix of medium and big fish tourmanents as they come along?

Looks like Heather will be about 220 on Monday. Does anyone know the likely US Open qualies cut-off mark and the cut-off date? Do they give their reigning junior champ a WC or WCQ?
