as are Naomi and Tara.

Emily loses in straight sets but has at least covered a large chunk of one tournament win from India. Would have been nice to see her make the QF though.

What a rise from Lisa. I'd never heard of her 12 months ago and now top 300 and looks likely to be top 250 pretty soon the rate she's going

Is this Manish'a only points or has she scored in any other tournaments? Hopefully she will get some WC's to help her break into the rankings

Think this is Manisha's first counting score: a very handy kick-start to come away with 8 points considering her score in Q2 and R1 draw; hope she bought a lottery ticket too (she's just about old enough!).

Just realised that 3 of my "young 'uns" are featuring in these QFs: will have to update that thread a week on Monday!

It's excellent to think that both Lisa and Heather were unranked this time last year (Heather got her first one 51 weeks ago!) and are now so close to top 250 already!

bt.net has the results as:
Heather won 6-2 6-3
Lisa won 7-6(3) 1-6 6-4

Semi:

If Heather wins she will overtake Mel in the rankings and would match Naomi C in points won this year (from four less tournaments)

If Lisa wins she will overtake JoKo, Naomi B and Anna S.

Excellent from both girls Obviously a shame that Tara and Naomi had to lose but that's tennis for you.

Hoping this form from Lisa can keep going cos she's got bigger points to defend in October, what with qualifying for a 75K and reaching the last 16, plus a 50K quarter to defend.

Shouldn't end the year any lower then 400 though, easily. Just gotta keep it going

Exo Lisa is fairly sure of being Top 350 even if she accrues no more points this year.
Obviously that wouldn't be good enough though lisa Top 250 by y/e please.
