Thought the exact same thing as Myfyr, especially pleased for Anna given recent events

Looking at the draw I really hope Lisa can make at least the qtrs and get herself into the Top 300

Yeah they went indoors.

To be honest I think they should have held the 3 main draw matches over until tomorrow to play outdoors, and just finished the qualies.

Was no need to get the main draw started today.

Stephenson lost to Mirza 62 60

Pippa lost to Scivetti 62 61

Joss lost to Patterson 76 64 but was struggling with her back

Emily bt Liz 62 62

Heather bt Nicola in straight sets

Naomi bt Sam in straight sets

There should be a british finalist from the bottom half now. Just a question of who it is now.

Will be interesting to see who wins the battle between Naomi/Heather and Lisa/Tara. If all make it to the QF.
